Job description

Civil Project Engineer – You Design the Infrastructure Everyone Needs

CIVILTEC is one of the most respected engineering companies in Southern California focused on improving water and wastewater systems to meet the demands of thriving communities. We average 130 plus projects a year and provide on-call, as needed type services to more than 25 agencies in Southern California. CIVILTEC has been in business for more than 34 years, and now has a team of 40 plus people in 3 offices in California and Arizona. We’re taking on more projects, expanding our team, and opening new offices –which means personal growth opportunities for our people.

Do you want to be in a culture that is fun (flexible and community service oriented), focused on people (learning opportunities, celebration of accomplishments, and a deep desire to help everyone realize their potential), and provides a great work life balance (our employees love our every other Friday off schedule). We’re seeking several professional civil project engineers to add to our staff, with experience ranging from 3-7 years (since obtaining their professional licensing). The ideal candidates will have Civil3D experience on water or wastewater projects and is a great team player that frequently goes above and beyond the call of duty to support their fellow teammates. This outstanding new addition to our team is a sponge – loves to learn, shows initiative, proactivity, and anticipates project needs.

What’s the difference between working in a very large firm, and a more entrepreneurial environment like CIVILTEC? In a more entrepreneurial firm, you get recognized quickly, you’re trusted with more responsibility sooner, you’re engaged immediately on more complex projects, and you get to see a larger scope of the project. We’re nimble, move quickly, and make decisions without multiple layers of bureaucracy.

If being in a professional civil engineering culture that is focused on learning, having accelerated responsibility, and really enjoying your co-workers and clients, then you should raise your hand to learn a little more about this opportunity. Contact us
